Discover shapes through hands-on play
Turn lines and patterns into a creative adventure with the Wooden Montessori Geoplan. This hands-on learning resource invites children to explore shapes, experiment with symmetry and discover how different designs fit together.
Start with a simple shape, change part of the design and see what happens. From free exploration to a shared geometry challenge, the geoplan offers opportunities to try ideas, compare results and create something new.
Fine motor practice and sensory exploration
Creating designs on the geoplan gives children opportunities to practise precise hand movements and hand-eye coordination. Combining touch, movement and visual exploration makes shape play a practical, hands-on experience.
Make early geometry playful
Explore familiar shapes, compare their sides and look for matching patterns. As understanding grows, introduce symmetry, similarity, perimeter and area through activities suited to the child's abilities.
Ideas for creative learning
- Create a shape and describe its sides and corners.
- Make a pattern, then try a different version.
- Explore symmetrical designs and matching halves.
- Compare shapes and talk about what is similar or different.
- Introduce perimeter and area through guided exploration.
Product features
- Product: wooden Montessori geoplan.
- Brand: GOOD WOOD.
- Activities: shape-making, pattern exploration and early geometry.

Explore at your own pace
Offer a simple starting idea or let children lead with their own designs. Adapt each activity to their interests and abilities, allowing time to experiment rather than focusing on a finished result.
Supervised play
Use with adult supervision and follow the manufacturer's age and safety guidance.
Little hands, colourful threads and creative discovery
Make threading and lacing a playful adventure with the GOOD WOOD Threading & Lacing Board. Its large holes invite children to guide colourful threads through the board, exploring patterns and practising precise hand movements at their own pace.
Settle down for a quiet activity together, create a new lacing pattern or practise a simple loop. Each session offers a hands-on way to explore, experiment and enjoy the satisfaction of making something.
Practise fine motor skills through play
Passing a thread through a hole gives children opportunities to practise hand-eye coordination, finger control and using both hands together. These movements form part of the everyday skills used in drawing, writing and dressing.
Explore lacing, loops and bows
Use the board to introduce threading, interlacing and the movements involved in tying shoelaces. Begin with a simple route through the holes, then explore more involved patterns, loops or bows as confidence grows.
A tactile activity with room for imagination
Following the thread in and out of the board combines touch, movement and visual exploration. Encourage children to choose a route, describe their pattern or invent a story inspired by their creation. Adapt the activity to the individual child's interests and abilities.
Product features
- Brand: GOOD WOOD.
- Product: threading and lacing board.
- Large holes for threading practice.
- Colour options: white, grey, black and natural wood.

For home, nursery and school
Bring the board into a quiet play corner, a classroom activity or a supervised session on the go. Offer help when needed and let children explore without pressure to complete a particular pattern.
Supervised play
Use with adult supervision and follow the manufacturer's age and safety guidance. Keep lacing cords away from the neck and check the board and threads before use.
A multisensory adventure with every step
Create a trail of textures with this five-panel Multisensory Wooden Sensory Path. Combining rope, smooth wooden inserts and a panel with holes for adding suitable balls, the set invites children to explore touch, movement and visual patterns through play.
Arrange the panels into a path or supervised obstacle course, then pause along the way to discover how each surface feels. Change the layout to introduce a new route, share ideas and turn everyday movement into an imaginative adventure.
Tactile discovery through hands and feet
Explore the contrast between smooth wood and ropes with different patterns and thicknesses. Begin by feeling the panels with hands, then introduce supervised barefoot exploration at a pace that feels comfortable for the user.
The panel with holes can be used with suitable rubber, anti-stress or tennis balls to introduce another texture. Balls are not listed among the set contents.
Balance and vestibular exploration
Stepping between panels, shifting body weight and changing direction offer opportunities to explore balance and movement, bringing vestibular context into multisensory play. Children can practise planning their next step and noticing their body position as they move.
Keep activities appropriate to each user's abilities and sensory preferences. Start with a simple floor-level route and offer support where needed.
Five panels to arrange and explore
- One panel with holes for suitable balls.
- Two panels with smooth raised wooden inserts.
- Two rope panels with different rope patterns and thicknesses.
Each panel has underside stabilisers designed to help position it on the GOOD WOOD ladder and provide its height. The path can be used separately or with a compatible GOOD WOOD ladder, following the manufacturer's setup instructions. A ladder is not included in the listed set contents.

Follow the patterns, explore through touch
Bring hands-on discovery to pre-writing play with the GOOD WOOD Fine Motor Wooden Tracing Board Set. Three double-sided boards offer six engraved patterns to explore with a fingertip, the included wooden stylus or the brush.
Set out a board for a quiet activity together. Follow the grooves, notice each change of direction and enjoy tracing a pattern from beginning to end, without the pressure of putting pencil to paper.
Fine motor practice through tactile play
Tracing the engraved patterns gives children opportunities to practise controlled hand and finger movements, hand-eye coordination and following a visual path. Explore the grooves by touch first, then introduce the stylus or brush as confidence grows.
Use the activities to introduce left-to-right movement and the kinds of lines and shapes children encounter in early writing.
Choose Toddler or Junior patterns
- Toddler: simpler patterns designed for children aged 3–4 years.
- Junior: more challenging patterns designed for children aged 4 years and over.
Choose the version that suits the child's current abilities and interests, and let them explore at their own pace.

A comforting addition to your sensory routine
Create a quiet moment with this handmade cherry pit heat pad. Combining gentle weight, a cotton cover and your choice of warmth or cooling, it offers a simple way to explore temperature and texture as part of your everyday sensory routine.
Enjoy it while reading a favourite book, relaxing or settling into a cosy sensory corner. Warm it for comfort after a winter walk, or chill it for a refreshing sensation on warmer days.
Natural filling, adjustable feel
The natural cherry pits retain both heat and cold and give the pad a gently textured feel. A zipped cover lets you adjust the amount of filling to find the weight and flexibility you prefer.
Made from 100% cotton using OEKO-TEX® certified fabrics, the removable cover is easy to wash.
Made for everyday sensory comfort
Use the pad at room temperature to enjoy its natural texture and gentle weight, or warm or cool it to suit your sensory preferences. Choose a temperature that feels comfortable, and remove the pad if the sensation becomes unpleasant.
For children with particular temperature preferences, it can be a comforting addition to supervised reading and relaxation time. It is not intended to regulate body temperature. An adult should prepare the pad, check its temperature and supervise use, especially if a child has difficulty recognising or communicating when something feels too hot or too cold.
