WEIGHTED SLEEPING BAGS, SACKS & HOODIES

WRAP AROUND IN A CUDDLY WEIGHTED BLANKET HOODIE

Weighted blanket hoodie combines deep pressure with the cuddly feel of the soft wrap-around blanket. Relax and move around at the same time.

SIZES

The weighted blanket hoodie is available in 2 sizes:

STANDARD: H100 x W150cm

LARGE: H120 x W170cm

FABRIC & FILLING

Made of soft dimple plush on both sides. This is the highest grade of minky plush - very soft, snuggly and loved by all family members. Glass granules are sewn into the fabric in the form of small squares. This allows perfect weight distribution and no migration of the granules. You cannot resist using a weighted blanket hoodie.

HOOD

The weight is distributed in the hood to generate the proprioceptive input to the body through the head and neck. The weight relaxes the muscles and helps in the faster release of happy hormones such as serotonin and dopamine.

This helps to regulate sensory processes in the body faster.

EARS

All weighted blanket hoodies are made in our workshop so pick if you like the ear feature or if you prefer it without. The colour and weight selection is large enough to suit all tastes too.

DEEP PRESSURE

Have you ever wondered why deep-pressure therapy makes you feel so good? Pressure applied to the body stimulates receptors located in the skin. Sensation resembles the feel of a hug. The body sends the signal through the nervous system to the brain where the full magic starts. The brain releases happy hormones that regulate processes in the body.  This is why a weighted hoodie is recommended for children and adults. We all need to support our well-being in many ways.

Weighted hoodie is such great fun for children. This is their safety cape where senses integrate and the world is easier to understand. Weighted hoodie can replace the vest and the blanket. You can use it throughout the day and night as long as the user feels the need. How to calm the overstimulated child? Just put the weighted blanket hoodie on and wait for results!

There are many stimulation points in the head. Weight applied to the head provides more balance. Users with cerebral palsy and other balance disorders could benefit from a more stable position while walking and performing other tasks.

Weighted sleeping bag set for camping and overnight stays

Weighted Sleeping Bag Set consists of a sleeping bag and a pillow in the same chosen pattern and colour. It can be used at home, on overnight trips, camping or in environments that require you to feel at home e.g. in a hospital, therapy room etc.

It has two sets of strings that allow folding the sleeping bag and storing it away. That is why this is a great set for overnight sleeping. You can use stings to attach the bag to the bed frame if the user tends to move a lot while sleeping. Should you prefer the version with no strings, then please contact us after the purchase or state it in the comment section of your order.

Weighted Sleeping Bag Set consists of:

- Weighted Bag in a chosen size

-Pillow

The pillow and the bag are filled with 100% antiallergic thick polyester lining, the same as in the standard duvets or pillows. The base is soft for comfortable sleep. It provides a layer of isolation if the bag is used on the floor.

The top side is weighted according to the needs of the user. We also offer an unweighted version if you wish to purchase exactly the same for another member of your family or a friend.

The zipper across the side allows easy access.

WHO SHOULD SLEEP UNDER WEIGHTED SLEEPING BAG?

Weighted Sleeping Bag Set was created with children in mind but it could also be used by adults. A sleeping bag creates the right deep-pressure environment for those with sensory processing disorder, Adhd, PTSD, stress and anxiety.

SIZE AND WEIGHT

The bag should be at least 20cm longer than the user's length.

Weight depends on the child's age and the therapist/doctor's suggestions. The general rule suggests that 10% of the body weight is applied directly to the body. We are happy to help you choose the right weight and size.

MEASUREMENTS

 Washing

Wash it always on its own. Do not tumble dry and do not iron. The washing bag contains filler that can pile up during the washing cycle so please use the tumble dryer ball to reshape it after wash.
